LETTER: Luke Wenke Orders His Victim to Call His Mommy

Luke Wenke sent the following letter to the family of his romantic obsession (Ryan/Benjamin) in June of 2023 while in custody at the Chautauqua County Jail. He was already being detained for violating federal probation by contacting his victims when he sent the letter, which violated a state-issued no-contact order of protection that the family had obtained in North Carolina.

The judge overseeing Luke Wenke’s cyberstalking case and subsequent probation violation charges had ordered Wenke to abide by any and all orders of protection as a condition of his supervision. But he continued to contact his victims, and sadly, he wasn’t punished very heavily for his repeated violations.

One particular prosecutor urged the court to send Luke Wenke back to federal prison for a year following his first violation charge. To support his case, Assistant U.S. Attorney David Rudroff introduced this letter into evidence during a court hearing in July of 2023. But Rudroff’s insistence that more prison time was necessary to prevent future reoffending fell on deaf ears, and the judge imposed mandatory outpatient mental health treatment as an alternative to incarceration.

Wenke underwent multiple mental evaluations and was eventually ordered to undergo involuntary treatment at a federal prison, where he spent several months before being released last October.

The Letter’s Contents

As you’ll see, a large portion of the letter is dedicated to warning the recipient against trusting me. Based on the content, Wenke appeared to be worried that his victims were forming an alliance and possibly even conspiring against him with one another.

I’ve never met or even talked to Ryan or his family. My heart goes out to them, because I understand all too well the kind of stress and fear that Wenke’s persistence tends to inflict upon his victims. But we’ve never interacted, and there have never been any plans for us to meet.

In the letter, Wenke urges the recipient to call his mother on the phone, indicating that he believes she can back his claims about what a terrible person I am. Luke Wenke’s mother spent too little time with me to accurately gauge my character, I suspect that she’d say or do pretty much anything her son instructs her to say or do. That’s how things have been going for years, and there’s no reason to believe the dynamic would suddenly change its trajectory.

My Opinion: This Situation Will Continue Along Its Dismal Path, Regardless of Any Attempts to Intervene

It’s no secret to anyone familiar with this case that mandated mental health treatment was a colossal failure for Wenke. Just two months after his release from prison, he was arrested by federal agents on a new cyberstalking charge for harassing a court official involved in his original case. But I don’t think a heavier punishment would’ve deterred Wenke from reoffending.

While it would’ve been wise to impose a heavier punishment for the sake of keeping society safe, I think it was inevitable that Luke Wenke would end up back in custody and facing more charges. This is evident based on Wenke’s clearly stated refusal to stop stalking and harassing his victims over perceived injustices, and if the authorities cut him loose again, I’m confident that the cycle will not only continue, but that his behavior will escalate.

Maybe I’m wrong. I hope I am. Being right about everything that has happened in this case so far is not a satisfying or rewarding feeling. But the signs are there,, and wether or not the court will actually heed them this time remains to be seen.

“But only to [redacted]. Nobody else. Just a guy in jail whispering sweet nothings to [redacted] I think that’s [redacted] with brown hair standing with Gary Johnson and some 14 year old midget in that picture I got hanging right by that glove I may or may not still have hanging from my ceiling fan at the house I will STILL be returning back to. I don’t know, I have another picture of someone with someone else at a Smashing Pumpkins concert. Maybe I’ll hand those pictures over to Kevin Bartholomew who wrote a letter to my Donald Trump appointed judge John Sinatra last year and in 2023 may or may not be behind that mysterious Olean Trump 2024 Twitter page. Hmmm…

“Now I need to tell you about someone else who continues to be connected to both your’s and my own situation. Her name is [redacted]. She lives in [redacted] with her parents. She sugar bitched her way through [redacted], and to this day she continues to sugar bitch her way through the world at 35 years old. There is FBI documentation available in my immediate possession of her immediate contact with an unnamed federal authority from January 2022. Now everyone in my immediate circle can confirm that it was likely her behind that 716 burner number that recently informed me that when we star 6 7 call people’s numbers for shits and giggles, we can still find out who was behind that star 6 7 call. That’s what she told me over a burner number. She is very clearly sugar bitching off of perfectly married federal ‘authorities’ (for lack of a better noun) and I can’t wait to get back home and hand over these FBI files to Kevin Bartholomew so he can Tweet them on the Olean Trump 2024 page. [Redacted] had my car last year when I first got to Niagara County Jail. And then she got mad at me so she got my car repo’d. And then my mother (whose number, name, and address you have on that first letter you got from me which you probably took Polaroid snapshots of and sent over to your insiders at Area 51) got mad at [redacted] so she called NY state troopers on her. “…include it in the FBI paperwork proving [redacted], as of Jan. 2022, was sugar bitching off perfectly married self-declared Christian federal ‘authorities’ and likely still are since my sister [name] of [address] outside Salamanca (phone number [redacted]) recently figured out it was likely [redacted] behind that burner number telling us we can definitely trace where star 6 7 phone calls are coming from. Please be mindful about [redacted] existence because she is liable to flip sides from [redacted] side of things and pull her hair and scream on camera as my mother and sister can tell you about once you call them finally and stop being chicken shit. CALL MY RELATIVES 800 MILES NORTH OF YOU; JUST DO IT. I ALREADY TOLD MY MOTHER ABOUT MY RIGHTS AS AN AMERICAN TO USE THE POST OFFICE ALL I WANT.

“The good news about [redacted] is that when I first got to Niagara County Jail last year she looked up family court information about Elexya [last name], was not impressed, and so she blamed Lexy as my bad influence that got me where I found myself rather than your son. I used the information [redacted] told us about last year and used it when I got out of Allenwood to help the father of Lexy’s two kids Bryce connect the dots between Lexy’s connection to Minneapolis so he could beat her down in family court summer 2023 and win full custody of her two kids. Bryce also finally knows it was me who dropped Lexy off in Kansas City the way I did Feb. 2021.
