On March 15th, 2022, Luke Wenke was formally indicted on federal charges of cyberstalking and making interstate threats. Wenke was accused of stalking, harassing, and threatening a Minnesota-based criminal defense attorney (“Victim 1”), who was representing Wenke’s romantic obsession, Ryan (also called Benjamin), in a federal terrorism case.
According to a criminal complaint, Luke Wenke stalked, harassed, and threatened a Minnesota-based criminal defense attorney who represented Wenke’s romantic obsession, Ryan (also sometimes referred to as Benjamin). Wenke reportedly felt dissatisfied with the quality of the attorney’s work based on Ryan’s continued incarceration, although it’s possible (or likely, even) that Wenke’s lack of access to Ryan stemmed more from Ryan’s lack of a romantic interest in Wenke than his legal situation.
